dmx4linux – A DMX device driver package for Linux
DMX is a data-transmision standard that provides access to digitallighting fixtures like digital dimmers, moving lights and dmx-demultiplexers (DMX nodes with analog output). It uses a serial bus based on the RS485 hardware properties but is a master slave bus.

The security hole eliminated by Update 2 is a “buffer overrun” vulnerability. This vulnerability could be exploited by a malicious user who could create a PDF file that, when viewed in Acrobat on Windows, would cause Acrobat to crash or to run arbitrary code on the machine. Acrobat 4.05 Update 2 supersedes Update 1 and includes patches that remedy these security vulnerabilities in the Acrobat Reader? and related plug-ins.

Using Shell Column Handlers for Detailed File Information
Shell column handlers allow you to extend the Details view of a file system folder. This article develops a simple column handler that displays the size of the file in bytes. It assumes you are familiar with the creation of a COM in-process server and focuses only on the parts relevant to implementing a column handler.
