Common Errors in English
Common Errors in English
What is an error in English?
The concept of language errors is a fuzzy one. I’ll leave to linguists the technical definitions. Here we’re concerned only with deviations from the standard use of English as judged by sophisticated users such as professional writers, editors, teachers, and literate executives and personnel officers. The aim of this site is to help you avoid low grades, lost employment opportunities, lost business, and titters of amusement at the way you write or speak.

Color Vision
Color Vision – by Cal Henderson
1 in 12 people have some sort of color deficiency. When you’re designing for the web, this means that 1 in 12 people might not be able to see your site. That’s alot of people. This tool helps you simulate the appearance of our site’s colors for people with different color visions. Select text and background colors from the palette below, then choose a color vision mode.

WebAIM – Web Accessibility in Mind (home)
Disability Types: If you think that Web accessibility is all about making things accessible to the blind, you’re only getting part of the story. Disabilities that affect Web access include: Visual (blindness, low vision, color-blindness), Hearing (deafness, hard-of-hearing), Mobility (inability to use hands, tremors, slow muscular movement), Cognitive (mental retardation), and Others (learning disabilities, reading disorders, attention deficit disorders, etc.). Be sure to design your site with all of these audiences in mind.
